Build in harmony with the nature of the tree
When we build in living trees, we do it with respect for the tree’s own nature and ability to heal. At GoAdventure, we use only through-bolting – a method that is both gentle and long-lasting.
The borehole is just 32 mm in diameter, into which we place a specially made threaded rod that the platform is mounted on. It’s similar to what happens when a tree loses a branch – it naturally closes and heals by itself. The same biological process is activated when we make a through-bolt.
Unlike traditional clamp fittings, this method doesn’t press on the bark or interfere with the tree’s vital transport system in the outer layer. This way, we avoid “choking” the tree, and the installation can remain in place year after year without damaging either the tree or the structure.
It also provides a clear financial advantage. Many parks built with clamps see their trees slowly die, forcing them to relocate the entire installation after just a few years – a costly and frustrating process. Beyond straining the budget, it also puts unnecessary pressure on nature.
By choosing through-bolting and the right method from the start, you ensure a sustainable solution that protects the tree and saves unnecessary expenses in the long run.
