Climbing maze in Starup Kultur- and Idrætscenter
Starup Culture and Sports Center, together with Haderslev Municipality, wanted to further develop the hall and make it even more exciting for the local community. The vision was clear: a modern and flexible meeting place offering activities for all ages – without adding any new square meters.
Developed, designed, and built by GoAdventure
The solution was to transform an unused corner of the hall into a multifunctional climbing labyrinth. It was designed to serve as a fun and challenging activity for children and young people – while also providing extra seating when the hall is used for indoor events.
The climbing labyrinth combines several elements: nets, ladders, small climbing walls with holds, level changes, and a net “rose” as the descent from the top. The outer sides are safely enclosed with netting, and the construction makes full use of the hall’s height, creating a varied and physically engaging experience.
GoAdventure worked closely with Starup Culture and Sports Association to find the right solution. Through 3D visualizations, we could illustrate how the labyrinth would look and ensure that all wishes and requirements were met. Within the small area, we managed to integrate 4-5 different activities without creating a cramped feeling – instead, the corner was transformed into an active and inviting space.
The result is a new gathering point in the hall, where play, movement, and functionality go hand in hand – and a great example of how unused space can be turned into something that adds real value to the entire community.
