Climbing maze in Starup

Climbing maze in Starup

Starup culture and sportscenter, in collaboration with Haderslev municipality, had a burning desire to develop the hall to make it even more exciting and rewarding for its citizens. The vision was to create a mordern and multifunctional cultural sportscenter that offers acitivites for citizens at all ages.

The Starup hall was not expanding its square meters, so it was crucial that we utilized the space they already had in a new and different way that would create value for the users.

The assignment was to integrate a climbing maze in one of the corners of the hall. The corner was not used for anything but ended up becoming a challenging and fun activity. Additionally, the climbing maze also serves as extra spectator seating when indoor football tournaments are held ind the hall, much to the delight of the youngest in the hall.

It was a two-in-one solution that transformed unused square meters into er multifunctional climbing maze consisting of nets, ladders, changes in elevation, small climbing walls with grips etc. All done in an aesthetic design language that aimed to motivate visitors to explore the maze.

We approached the task with a requirement to make the best possible use of the corner. There was a need to pack the corner with activities, and we managed to interconnect 4-5 activities in a very small area, without it feeling too cramped.

We achieved this by building a climbing maze, as it is a great way to connect multiple activities. We used nets to secure the outer side for peace of mind, ladders to elevate the activity to utilize the hall’s height, climbing grips to create challenges, and a net-rose as an exit, connecting the top of the climbing maze to the hall’s floor, to create a smooth flow in the labyrinth

The project required very precise calculation and scaling to make the best use of the corner. Before the climbing labyrinth came into existence, we had good initial discussions with the Starup Culture and Sports Association to find the right solution. We also illustrated our vision in 3D so that the Culture and Sports Association could visualize the climbing labyrinth and get an idea of what the finished solution would look like.

Working with the Starup Culture and Sports Association has been a pleasure, and together, we found a tailored solution that covered all the requirements and needs they had for the solution. We are incredibly happy to have been chosen as a collaborative partner on the task, and we are all very satisfied with the result.

GoMonkey Søndermarken

GoMonkey Søndermarken

With a view of Copenhagen Zoo on one side, Frederiksberg Castle at the back, and surrounded by a beautiful old park, GoMonkey Klatrepark can guarantee its visitors a truly magnificent experience.  We have helped them build the first climbing park in Denmark to be exclusively fitted with bored holes for optimal protection of the trees.

The romantic garden belongs to the Culture and Palaces Agency, and with the purpose of being worthy of preservation, the construction took place in close dialogue with them.

GoAdventure approached the task with a focus on the method and with the aim of achieving as many activities as possible in the small area.

Søndermarken is a protected royal garden, which meant the climbing park had to be built as carefully as possible. As such, everything was built using specially made tabs that were mounted by boring. This allowed us to take advantage of the wood’s natural healing process.

We worked closely with some of the country’s leading arborists to find the perfect solution, and we even had a report drawn up about the health of the trees to ensure that our footprint on nature was as small as possible.

We loved the idea from the start and are delighted that we could help GoMonkey with everything from planning, budgeting, design and the installation itself. Although the facility is small, we have taken advantage of the heights and worked with lanes at several heights below each other, so that the business model became more robust for the company.

We had a very specific requirement for the construction of our new park in Søndermarken. No installations were allowed to press on the trees. GoAdventure had the solution, which was subsequently recommended by arborists.

Kragerup Gods

Kragerup GoBounce

Denmark’s largest netting landscape built in the heart of Kragerup GoHigh – with space for 400 people per hour.
Kragerup Gods has installed Denmark’s largest netting landscape with over 300 metres of bouncy and challenging courses that wind beautifully through the trees and jump up a level in many places. The walkways meander like snakes between the green foliage, encouraging you to jump, play and spend some physically challenging time together.

Between the runs, the jumping visitors can let rip in the netting boxes of various sizes. The largest of these has an area of approx. 100 sq.m.

The coloured netting walls rise 3.5 metres at all the edges, allowing for plenty of free play!

In three of the areas, we have placed long netting tunnels all the way down to the ground. The whole thing looks like an organic play area in the middle of nature.

Kragerup Gods wanted a new attraction that could accommodate lots of people, be suitable for all ages and have a big wow-factor in the green park.

Our bounce netting was “spot on”. The beautiful colours of the netting interact beautifully with the trees, creating brightly coloured formations.

The area also relieved increasing pressure on the estate’s popular GoHigh climbing courses, and instead of impatient visitors and “rush hour” , people are now much better distributed in the large active area. Thanks to Bounce, Kragerup Gods can now attract far more families and not just be a destination for the braver climbers.

Nature playgrounds

Nature playgrounds

Being outdoors should feel natural, exciting and involve plenty of movement. Based on our experience from building adventure parks at home and abroad, we are able to create the perfect nature playground that challenges, strengthens and provides continuous joy for the child and the playful mind.

GoAdventure only builds nature playgrounds of the highest quality. We use posts made of robinia wood, a wood that doesn’t rot, which means the lifespan of our nature playgrounds is one of the longest on the market. All our installations are suitable for public use and comply with all EN1176 safety standards.

We build playgrounds for schools, day-care institutions, private operators and adventure parks.

No two projects are the same, and we always start by looking at your needs and ideas, and then draw on our knowledge to arrive at the best possible solution. There’s no end to what we can devise, and we like to tailor each project exactly to your needs.

Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus

Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus

The “Tivoli Friheden” amusement park in Aarhus wanted to add a new and different activity to their amusement park. Follow their journey and read more about how an amusement park and a climbing park were joined together and taken to new heights.

Tivoli003

GoAdventure has been assigned a ground-breaking “one-of-a-kind” project in collaboration with Tivoli Friheden, which involves building a climbing park in the middle of the amusement park itself, and bringing the two parks together in a unique and alternative way.

The climbing park will consist of an adventure area containing the easier courses, and a more advanced course area that will take visitors out over the Tivoli Friheden lakes before arriving at a central tower, which will link the many courses together.

The central tower will also be a new construction, and here particular thought has gone into the architecture and aesthetics.

It has been an interesting journey with Tivoli Friheden and they have been amazing to work with. We are very happy with the results. Watch the video to the right to see the final results.

Mobile cable car in Langeland

Mobile cable car in Langeland

The Langeland Festival wanted a spectacular transport route from the festival site to the adventure site. The solution? A mobile cable car.

IMG_2170

As a “pop up” event, GoAdventure built a mobile cable car that would connect the two sites at the Langeland Festival. It was a completely new way of thinking about transport, and it was the first of its kind in Denmark. The cable car stretched a full 320 metres and helped thousands of festivalgoers travel between the two sites in an easy and ‘uplifting’ way.

A mobile cable car was also used for the harbour festival in Holbæk as a link between the harbour and the Holbæk pedestrian street.

The mobile cable car can be set up in a day, often less if required. There’s no end to how you can use a cool cable car for your event, and this particular mobile car makes the solution easy to achieve.

Sofiero Treetop Walking

Sofiero Treetop Walking

How do you experience a forest in a completely new and unique way? That’s what Sofiero Park wanted to achieve, and together we came up with a unique forest experience that starts in the heights.

IMG_20220324_112343

In Sofiero Park, we have built a treetop walking experience where you walk from tree to tree and experience the beautiful nature of the forest in a completely new way. The walkways are made of wood and have netting walls that make it quite safe to walk around the facility, even without personal protective gear.

There are a total of 11 suspension bridges, which are over 150 metres long and which run from 2-10 metres high. The suspension bridges wind like a labyrinth through the forest’s trees, which makes you feel like you’re genuinely exploring the forest’s treetops.

Up to 120 people can use the suspension bridges at the same time, and the project was built with guidance from the University of Copenhagen for maximum protection of the trees.

Netting installation for Tumlehuset

Netting installation for Tumlehuset

How do you allow for personal expression in a small space? The answer is: build tall. Tumlehuset desperately wanted to expand in its existing space, and so we simply utilised that space in a new way. GoAdventure helped with planning, concept phase, production and final assembly. Note that it has a floating netting passage above the existing activities, which is completely unique.

Tumlehuset wanted to make full use of the space without overcrowding, and there we found the solution – to use the building’s posts and design to create a unique activity that would not interfere with the building’s other activities. The transparency of the netting also ensures that the space doesn’t feel smaller and claustrophobic, but instead feels open and inclusive.

The netting passage has an entrance and exit on both sides, and allows you to cross over to the other side. The purpose of the installation was to give the children an extra activity, which had to take place at height in a safe and fun way.

More and more people are realising what a netting installation can provide and how it can be implemented. Netting can be used in countless ways and for many different purposes, so it’s no wonder that netting installations are becoming more and more popular.

Free Fall, giant swing and education

Free Fall, giant swing and education

Himmerlands Erhvervs- & Gymnasieuddannelser (HEG) is a vocational institution that trains young people in trade, technology, health and craftsmanship. And here, skills are not the only thing to reach new heights – the students’ personal development also gets a gentle push – for example, by letting them jump from a height of 15 metres.

case-slider-himmerland

HEG wanted to expand their existing climbing tower and thus train their staff for the new adventure building.

We therefore installed a giant swing, where a jump from a height of 15 meters would send students or teachers on a ground-breaking swing ride.

We then trained their staff in safety procedures, special precautions associated with jumps, control of climbing equipment and safety ropes.

Free Fall is an adventure activity that will give even the bravest people an adrenaline rush. Experience the leap from the treetop, the rush of the free fall and then the secure feeling of being grabbed and lowered safely to the ground.

A great activity that can be used as a confidence test, for team building or as an add-on in a climbing/adventure park.

We would like to order a modern and highly secure pole park – it’s to be located in China!

GoAdventure was commissioned by a large Chinese development company from the adventure industry in China. The park was to be located in a scenic area, with large rocks, deep caves and magical waterfalls. A dream job was underway.

Adventure pole park

The order for this amazing and challenging assignment came in February 2021. Despite the world being plagued by Covid-19, GoAdventure completed production of the entire climbing park in 14 days. Then came the dispatch of 90 climbing elements and 90 platforms to the destination. Assembly in China with four experienced builders to assemble the whole park.

The park consists of five courses of varying difficulty and a zipline course that meanders around the area. We call it “Zip Line safari”.

China is currently the country where the most projects are developed with a focus on nature, education and movement, all in complete harmony with the surroundings.

There is a great focus on tying learning, experience and physical activity together, so that all visitors get an experience that supports and increases self-confidence and independence.

Climbing parks can be built in living trees, on poles or by using constructions such as towers. There are countless possibilities for diversity when it comes to the activities – the sky really is the limit!
