GoMonkey Søndermarken

With a view of Copenhagen Zoo on one side, Frederiksberg Castle at the back, and surrounded by a beautiful old park, GoMonkey Klatrepark can guarantee its visitors a truly magnificent experience.  We have helped them build the first climbing park in Denmark to be exclusively fitted with bored holes for optimal protection of the trees.

The romantic garden belongs to the Culture and Palaces Agency, and with the purpose of being worthy of preservation, the construction took place in close dialogue with them.

GoAdventure approached the task with a focus on the method and with the aim of achieving as many activities as possible in the small area.

Søndermarken is a protected royal garden, which meant the climbing park had to be built as carefully as possible. As such, everything was built using specially made tabs that were mounted by boring. This allowed us to take advantage of the wood’s natural healing process.

We worked closely with some of the country’s leading arborists to find the perfect solution, and we even had a report drawn up about the health of the trees to ensure that our footprint on nature was as small as possible.

We loved the idea from the start and are delighted that we could help GoMonkey with everything from planning, budgeting, design and the installation itself. Although the facility is small, we have taken advantage of the heights and worked with lanes at several heights below each other, so that the business model became more robust for the company.

We had a very specific requirement for the construction of our new park in Søndermarken. No installations were allowed to press on the trees. GoAdventure had the solution, which was subsequently recommended by arborists.
